Melissa Hobbs has been a commercial photographer since 2008 and works with a variety of photographic genres including business photography, event photography, corporate photography, portrait and headshot photography, and product photography. She has photographed conferences, corporate head shots, workshops, Trade Shows, Gala Dinners, Red Carpet arrivals, networking events and team building events.

She photographed for Business Chicks in Melbourne from 2011, photographing corporate events, breakfast events, workshops, networking events, and photographs for their magazine Latte. Some amazing people she has had the pleasure of photographing include Arianna Huffington, Seth Godin, Julia Gillard, Michelle Bridges, Rachael Zoe, Nigella Lawson, Jamie Oliver, Kate Hudson and many more.

Melissa’s work has been published in books, newspapers, postcards, magazines and calendars. You will also find her work on a number of different websites.

Melissa has covered many events including movie premieres’, Miss Universe Australia, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival and the The Logies. She has photographed brides, parents, children and many famous celebrities including press conferences for Katy Perry and Sarah Jessica Parker.

In 2011 Melissa had her first solo exhibition showcasing a collection of photos she took in New York City. The exhibition was very successful and she was asked to exhibit the photographs again in 2012 and 2013.

Melissa also owns a wedding and portrait photography business called Infinity Photography and photographs weddings when asked. Let her know if you’re getting married as she would love to photograph your special day.

Melissa is married and is the Mum to two teenage boys. She is based in Melbourne but also travels to photograph events.

Melissa is known for capturing candid moments from her subjects. She particularly enjoys photographing people having fun and enjoying themselves. Time goes by so fast, it’s important to capture the fun bits.

One of her favourite photographers Paul Strand, believed that “your photography is a record of your living” Mel feels privileged to record moments in people’s lives; moments they will never experience again.
